Bend-perVariants: Bend-per, Per Bend, Partie Per Bend
When the field or charge is divided by a diagonal line from the dexter chief to the sinister base. The dividing line can take any of the typical line forms, urdee, crenellee, indented etc. and some strange ones. Observe the first metal or color named in the blazon should fill the chief part, and the second the base. Many known variations of the dividing line are listed with entries starting with Bend-Per to illustrate the sometimes less than obvious terminology used to describe them.
