PointVariants: Point, Base, Baste, Base-Bar
Is the base of the shield. When cut off by a horizontal line blazoned a Plain Point. The Point may be of any of the accidental forms of lines. When borne Pointed it should be so expressed. It may be on either side of the escutcheon, and is then termed a Point dexter, or sinister. When a point is pointed it may be referred to as a point in point.
