| | Cross patonce | Variants: Cross patonce, Patonce | A cross where the ends of the arms broaden from the center and end in three pointed lobes. A similar shape of the ends may also be referred to as flory. In some cases flory may indicate a closer resemblance to the fleur-de-lis, patonce being a simpler version, or may just be the choice of the writer, then fashionable terminology.
